Among the most famous paintings is "Pu Maan Ya Man", depicting a young Tai Lue couple whispering love. The intricate and delicate artwork captures the essence of pure love, making it an iconic symbol of Phumin temple and "a world-renowned whisper of love.

หนึ่งในภาพจิตรกรรมที่โด่งดังที่สุด คือ "ปู่ม่านย่าม่าน" ชายหนุ่มหญิงสาวชาวไทลื้อ ยืนกระซิบรักกัน ภาพนี้เปี่ยมไปด้วยความประณีต อ่อนช้อย สะท้อนภาพความรักอันบริสุทธิ์ กลายเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของวัดภูมินทร์ และได้รับการยกย่องว่าเป็น "เสียงกระซิบแห่งความรักที่มีชื่อเสียงระดับโลก"

A Song of Love from the Past

The "Pu Maan Ya Man" painting is more than just a beautiful image. It is also a symbol of love and devotion. It is believed that couples who come to the temple and whisper their love in front of the painting will be blessed with eternal love.

A Sacred Ritual

To perform the love ritual, couples must walk three times counterclockwise around the serpent gate in front of the ordination hall. Holding hands, they then proceed to the "Pu Maan Ya Man" painting. The man recites a love poem, while the woman listens with a joyful heart. This sacred ritual is believed to bring lasting love and happiness.

เพื่อสานต่อตำนานรัก คู่รักต้องเดินลอดประตูพญานาคคู่ขวัญหน้าพระอุโบสถ 3 รอบ ทวนเข็มนาฬิกา จับมือกันมุ่งหน้าไปยังภาพ "ปู่ม่านย่าม่าน" ฝ่ายชายเอ่ยกลอนบอกรัก ฝ่ายหญิงรับฟังด้วยหัวใจเปี่ยมสุข พิธีกรรมนี้เปี่ยมไปด้วยความศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เชื่อกันว่าจะนำพาความรักที่มั่นคงและยาวนาน

Meaning

“My great love to you, to deposit it in water yet afraid it will get cold

To deposit in the sky, yet afraid the cloud will cover it away

To deposit in the palace castle, yet afraid the Ruler will take my love

Then I rather keep it in my heart and let it cries for missing you

Even when I sleep or wake up startled”

กลอนบอกรักที่ใช้ในพิธีกรรมนี้ มีดังนี้

“คำฮักน้อง กูปี้จักเอาไว้ในน้ำก็กลัวหนาว

จักเอาไว้พื้นอากาศกลางหาว ก็กลัวหมอกเหมยซอนดาวลงมาคะลุม

จักเอาไปใส่ในวังข่วงคุ้ม ก็กลัวเจ้าปะใส่แล้วลู่เอาไป

ก็เลยเอาไว้ในอกในใจตัวชายปี้นี้ จักหื้อมันไห้อะฮิอะฮี้ ยามปี้นอนสะดุ้งตื่นเววา…”

ความรักของน้องนั้น พี่จะเอาฝากไว้ในน้ำก็กลัวเหน็บหนาว จะฝากไว้กลางท้องฟ้าอากาศกลางหาว ก็กลัวเมฆหมอกมาปกคลุมรักของพี่ไปเสีย หากเอาไว้ในวังในคุ้ม เจ้าเมืองมาเจอก็จะแย่งความรักของพี่ไป เลยขอฝากเอาไว้ในอกในใจของพี่ จะให้มันร้องไห้รำพี้รำพันถึงน้อง ไม่ว่ายามพี่นอนหลับหรือสะดุ้งตื่น

Architectural Masterpiece

Phumin temple is not only a place of worship but also a showcase of Lanna architectural brilliance. The unique structure combines the ordination hall, the viharn, and the chedi into a single building, making it the first "quadrangular ordination hall" in Thailand.

สถาปัตยกรรมอันล้ำค่า

วัดภูมินทร์ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงสถานที่สักการะ แต่ยังสะท้อนภูมิปัญญาและความงดงามของสถาปัตยกรรมล้านนา อาคารหลังนี้รวมเอาส่วนต่างๆ ของพระอุโบสถ วิหาร และเจดีย์ไว้ด้วยกัน กลายเป็น "พระอุโบสถจตุรมุข" แห่งแรกของประเทศไทย

This ensures that no matter which entrance visitors use, they will always be greeted by the serene and majestic countenance of the Buddha.
