Tee Pi: The Echoing Sound of Mountains, Legend of Doi Sakad ตีพิ: เสียงสะท้อนแห่งขุนเขา ตำนานดอยสกาด

Amidst the mists and mountains of Nan, an ancient sound of bamboo instruments resonates. This is "Tee Pi," the sacred tradition of the Lua people (one of ethnic groups in Nan Province) in Sakad district.
ท่ามกลางสายหมอกและขุนเขาแห่งน่าน มีเสียงเครื่องดนตรีจากไม้ไผ่ป่ากังวานดังก้องมาแต่โบราณ เสียงนั้นคือ "ตีพิ" ประเพณีอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของพี่น้องชนเผ่าลัวะ ณ ตำบลสกาด

Once a year, from August 6-13, 2024, the forests and villages awaken to the rhythm of the Pi, a musical instrument crafted from wild bamboo by the villagers' collective effort.
เพียงปีละครั้ง ในช่วงวันที่ 6-13 สิงหาคม 2567 ผืนป่าและหมู่บ้านจะตื่นขึ้นด้วยจังหวะของพิ เครื่องดนตรีที่ทำจากไม้ไผ่ป่า ซึ่งชาวบ้านร่วมแรงร่วมใจกันตัดและประดิษฐ์ขึ้น

Each day, village streets fill with Pi processions, both morning and evening. The music and chants calling to the rice spirits resonate, harmonizing with the wind whispering through lush green rice fields.
แต่ละวัน ท้องถนนในหมู่บ้านจะเต็มไปด้วยขบวนแห่พิ ทั้งยามเช้าและยามเย็น เสียงดนตรีและเสียงร้องเรียกขวัญข้าวดังกังวาน สอดประสานกับเสียงลมที่พัดผ่านทุ่งนาเขียวขจี


This is not mere festivity, but a sacred ritual inherited from ancestors, to nurture the rice spirits and village guardians after the planting season.
นี่ไม่ใช่เพียงงานรื่นเริง แต่เป็นพิธีกรรมศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่สืบทอดมาแต่บรรพบุรุษ เพื่อเลี้ยงขวัญข้าวและผีประจำหมู่บ้าน หลังจากเสร็จสิ้นการเพาะปลูก

On the final night, as the clock strikes midnight, the sound of Pi being destroyed signals the ceremony's end, along with the belief that crops will flourish in the coming year.
คืนสุดท้าย เมื่อเข็มนาฬิกาชี้เที่ยงคืน เสียงทุบทำลายพิจะดังขึ้น เป็นสัญญาณว่าพิธีกรรมได้สิ้นสุดลง พร้อมกับความเชื่อที่ว่าพืชพรรณธัญญาหารจะอุดมสมบูรณ์ในปีต่อไป
