Nan Province Gears Up for UNESCO Creative Cities Network Selection

Nan Province, renowned for its rich cultural heritage and vibrant artistic community, held a preparatory meeting was held on June 22, 2023 at the Chao Anantawaritthidet Meeting room, 3rd floor, Nan City Hall, to present crucial information to the esteemed selection committee responsible for choosing the cities to become members of the prestigious UNESCO Creative Cities Network in 2023.

เมืองน่าน ซึ่งมีชื่อเสียงในด้านมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมและชุมชนแห่งศิลปินและทำงานศิลปะด้านต่างๆ ได้จัดการประชุมเตรียมการนำเสนอฯ ในวันที่ 22 มิถุนายน 2566 ณ ห้องประชุมเจ้าอนันตวรฤทธิเดช ชั้น 3 ศาลากลางจังหวัดน่าน เพื่อนำเสนอข้อมูลที่สำคัญต่อคณะกรรมการคัดเลือกเมืองต่างๆ เพื่อเข้าร่วมเป็นสมาชิกเครือข่ายเมืองสร้างสรรค์อันทรงเกียรติของ UNESCO ในปี 2566

The meeting, attended by representatives from various sectors including Mr. Wiboon Waewbundit, The Nan governor, Chairman, government officials, local artists, cultural experts, and youth, aimed to showcase the unique attributes and creative potential of Nan City. The UNESCO Creative Cities Network serves as a platform to foster international cooperation and exchange among cities that prioritize creativity as a driver of sustainable development. Nan, The city's commitment to nurturing and promoting local talent, combined with its efforts to preserve cultural heritage, 

การประชุมดังกล่าวมีผู้แทนจากภาคส่วนต่างๆ นำโดย นายวิบูรณ์ แววบัณฑิต ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดน่าน ในฐานะประธานในที่ประชุม รวมทั้งข้าราชการ ศิลปินท้องถิ่น และผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านวัฒนธรรม และผู้แทนเยาวชน เข้าร่วมประชุม โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อแสดงคุณลักษณะเฉพาะและศักยภาพเชิงสร้างสรรค์ของเมืองน่าน เครือข่ายเมืองสร้างสรรค์ของ UNESCO ซึ่งทำหน้าที่เป็นเวทีเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือระหว่างประเทศและการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างเมืองต่างๆ ที่ให้ความสำคัญกับความคิดสร้างสรรค์เป็นตัวขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน เมืองน่าน ความมุ่งมั่นของเมืองน่านในการบ่มเพาะและส่งเสริมผู้มีความสามารถในท้องถิ่น บวกกับความพยายามในการอนุรักษ์มรดกทางวัฒนธรรม 

During the meeting, officials highlighted Nan City's diverse range of artistic disciplines, such as Crafts and folk art related to Buddhist culture, the Water and Buddhist. They emphasized the city's vibrant festivals and events that showcase its cultural identity and contribute to the enrichment of the local community.

ในระหว่างการประชุม ได้เน้นย้ำถึงศิลปะแขนงต่างๆ ของเมืองน่าน เช่น หัตถกรรมและศิลปะพื้นบ้านเชื่อมโยงวิถีพุทธวัฒนธรรม วัฒนธรรมด้านเกษตรกรรม และสายน้ำ และเน้นย้ำถึงเทศกาลและกิจกรรมที่แสดงถึงเอกลักษณ์ทางวัฒนธรรมและมีส่วนทำให้ชุมชนท้องถิ่นมีความสมบูรณ์ยิ่งขึ้น

The preparatory meeting also included presentations on Nan City's infrastructure, educational institutions, and tourism potential, emphasizing the city's readiness to embrace the responsibilities and opportunities that come with being a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.

การประชุมเตรียมการยังมีการนำเสนอเกี่ยวกับโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน สถาบันการศึกษา และศักยภาพด้านการท่องเที่ยวของเมืองน่าน โดยเน้นย้ำถึงความพร้อมของเมืองในการเข้าสู่การเป็นสมาชิกและโอกาสที่มาพร้อมกับการเป็นสมาชิกเครือข่ายเมืองสร้างสรรค์ของยูเนสโก

The Nan governor, expressed his gratitude to the working group for considering the application of Nan province's candidacy and conveyed the city's commitment to upholding the principles and values of the network. He reiterated the city's pledge to foster creativity, cultural diversity, and sustainable development through collaborative efforts with fellow network members.

ผู้ว่าราชการจังหวัดน่าน กล่าวขอบคุณคณะทำงานการพิจารณาใบสมัครเข้าเป็นสมาชิกเครือช่ายเมืองสร้างสรรค์ของจังหวัดน่าน และแสดงความมุ่งมั่นของเมืองที่จะรักษาหลักการและค่านิยมของเครือข่าย โดยย้ำคำมั่นสัญญาของเมืองที่จะส่งเสริมความคิดสร้างสรรค์ ความหลากหลายทางวัฒนธรรม และการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนผ่านความร่วมมือกับสมาชิกเครือข่าย

As the working group concludes their evaluation process, the anticipation among Nan City's residents and supporters grows. Inclusion in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network would not only enhance Nan City's international visibility but also provide opportunities for cultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and economic growth.

คณะทำงานจัดทำใบสมัครฯ สรุปขั้นตอนการประเมินใบสมัครของจังหวัดน่าน ความคาดหวังชาวเมืองน่านและผู้สนับสนุนก็เพิ่มขึ้น การเข้าร่วมเครือข่ายเมืองสร้างสรรค์ของยูเนสโก ไม่เพียงแต่ช่วยเพิ่มทัศนวิสัยในระดับสากลของเมืองน่านเท่านั้น แต่ยังเป็นโอกาสในการแลกเปลี่ยนวัฒนธรรม การแบ่งปันความรู้ และการเติบโตทางเศรษฐกิจอีกด้วย

The announcement of the selected cities to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network 2023 is eagerly awaited, with Nan City hopeful that its unique blend of heritage, creativity, and dedication to sustainable development will impress the committee and secure its place among the world's most esteemed creative cities.
